The New Zealand Trucking Association has a strong team behind it, with decades of industry knowledge formed by passionate staff and Executive Board Members.
David Boyce
CEO
In 1988 Dave Boyce became the founding president of the NZ Trucking Association. Dave has been an integral part of the Association since its inception. President, Director, Life Member and now CEO. Dave has over 40 years' experience in the transport industry, as an Owner Driver through to a Fleet Operator, with skills in problem solving and issue resolution, cost modelling, staff training and mediation.
Carol McGeady
COO
Carol began her transport career in 2013, at NZ Trucking Association. Her background is marketing and business management. Part of her role has been to develop the Association's initiatives including the Road Safety Truck, with the goal to reduce fatalities and injuries on the road caused by truck related crashes. "I am basically in my dream job and proud to be Chief Operating Officer for such a fast growing Association, working alongside a great team."
John Sansom
Programme Manager - HARMfree
John joined the association October 2022 as the HARMfree Transport and Logistics Programme Manager. John has come from the construction industry with 10 years experience in logistics management.
Debbie Neame
Office Manager
Debbie started with the association October 2022. She comes from a strong corporate management background.
Bill James
Membership Services
Bill joined the team March 2023. He has strong customer service skills and is here to help with everything membership related including fuel cards.
Katie Johnson
Marketing & Communications Manager
Katie joined NTA in June 2023. She has an extensive background in design, marketing, communication and project management. Katie is a qualified Graphic Designer.

ROB TAYLOR
Association President
Now retired, Rob has over 50 years of hands on experience in the trucking industry. From owner driver to fleet owner. Rob is a passionate & enthusiastic volunteer on the Safety MAN Road Safety Truck.
EDDIE SWAIN
Vice President &
Livestock Rep.
Eddie has over 45 years' experience in the trucking industry and is the owner of ED Swain Ltd, specialising in rural cartage & contracting. Eddie is the associations representative on the National Livestock Transport Committee.
KEN WINSLOE
Board Member
Ken is the General Manager for CORDE; responsible for the facility maintenance contracts within the Selwyn District Council region. Ken brings vast business & commercial knowledge to the association, including running his own trucking fleet.
MARK AMER
Board Member
Mark, affectionally known as “Magpie,” is a logging owner-operator with an outstanding knowledge & passion for the trucking industry. Mark is one of the key members of the Trucking Industry Show organising committee and has been a board member for over 15 years.
KERRY INNS
Board Member
Kerry is passionate about the trucking industry running his own fleet K & T Trucking around New Zealand. With over 35 years industry experience, including time as part of a pioneering family trucking business.
GREG LYNCH
Board Member
Greg is the owner operator of BBS Couriers. Greg is passionate about supporting the “Little Guy” in the trucking industry. Greg has a vast knowledge earnt the hard way over 45 years in the trucking industry. Greg is an enthusiastic & passionate supporter of the association.
PAUL MCFALL
Board Member
Paul runs rural trucking fleet Highfield Transport, supporting the farming sector. Paul has many years of knowledge & experience in the trucking industry and is a passionate supporter of the association.
MARK WILLIAMS
Board Member
Mark has 25+ years’ experience in banking and financial institutions both in New Zealand and UK working for BNZ, Marac Finance, ABN Amro Bank (UK), Bank of Brussels (UK), CIT Group, HSBC NZ and Heartland Bank, where he was the National Manager Strategic Partnerships, which included the establishment and senior oversight of both HINO Finance and UD Trucks Finance nationwide. Mark is a passionate supporter of the association and now owns Spartan Finance.
PETE COCHRANE
Board Member
Pete is the South Island Rental Manager for the TR Group. Pete brings many years of trucking industry experience to the association board. Pete has a real can-do attitude and is a passionate supporter of the association & its initiatives and is one of the key organisers of the NZ National Truck Driving Championship.
CAM LIL
Board Member
Cam joined the NTA Board in 2021 and adds fantastic enthusiasm and can-do attitude to the group. Always willing to help and provide ideas on the Association's initiatives, his contribution and passion for the industry is of great value. Cam is part of the Mt Cheeseman Ski Field team over the winter months, in Canterbury.
